The desk is made of quality wood particle with plastic rods/tubes that link together. You will need a mallet or something to smash insert caps and two nails. Also, you need a Philips screwdriver. The directions are clear and easy to read. The desk dimensions of 23.6″(L) x 15.5″(W) x 29.7″(H) is accurate.

Once assembled, the desk shakes from the slightest touch, but it is a durable desk for probably 5+ years. The keyboard dock(?) is too small for my ergonomic keyboard and having the mouse on the desk is a bit awkward. Having a large 22″ monitor dominates the space, along with speakers.

*Beware! There are sharp and pointy corners on the wooden rungs(?) at the side. These are quite close to your feet, knees, hands, and possible running toddlers or other human-like substitutes. So I guess this is not baby proof unless you place caps or duct tape to the corners.

**One last thing to point out is that the top plate has a strip lining that goes around the edges. Be sure that the part that has the over-lapped lining is facing the side you don’t want to see. I just realize this after I finished placing my stuff on the desk. I don’t know if I want to uninstall it though.

***For the price of $26.99 with Amazon Prime, it is a fantastic deal.

****(See the pics I made for possible references if you want, it’s your internet time. Not like there isn’t enough internet time available in 24 hours.)

This is a great computer stand. It holds a lot of weight on the top table. I put my laptop, recording equipment, a mixer, a lamp, and sometimes even a plate of food on it and it all fits. The bottom table is just as study. Mine is a little squeaky sometimes coming from somewhere on the inside of one of the legs. Other than that, you can’t beat this price.

Needed a computer set up in a pretty small space. This is not a permanent space/solution, but it works great for now. Not the sturdiest and would not choose to keep for a permanent placement, but for the year or so I need it, the size is perfect. Easy to assemble. Little wobbly, but works for now.

It’s cheap, and better than what you can expect from its price. it’s easy to assemble and very light to carry. Though it’s not robust and stable as expensive ones, it’s strong enough not to crash.

Easy assembly. Good price. Perfect for small dorm spaces. Only negative is not super strong for a heavy tower.

I bought this desk for placing my imac. It is the cheapest desk on Amazon with free shipping(except another desk that is too small for an imac). Now I am writing the review on the desk right after assembling it. I am very unsatisfied with its quality.

Firstly, all the screws scattered everywhere in the package. No extra screws. No labels on the parts. The glue spilled out when I opened the plastic bag that contains the glue bottle. Although all these are not big problem as long as you are careful, this still shows the manufacturer has not taken customers’ convenience into consideration.

Secondly, half the holes are not drilled deep enough and are extremely tight. A few holes are no more than mere shallow marks on the surface. Two of the holes are even in wrong places. I don’t have a drill, so it took me a good 1.5 hours to do this seeming simple task of assembling. The wooden panels are thin.

Finally and what is the most annoying, the desk wobbles A LOT on a carpet floor. It leant immediately after I put my computer on it. I am worried an accidental hit on the desk would cause my computer to slide and fall off.

I wouldn’t say you get what you paid for, because this desk is way under my expectation. I can understand for such a low price, I will get a small and basic desk. But the quality is just so cheap. I’ve seen much more sturdy desks at $40-80 in local Walmart and Office Depot during the August back to school season. This is an awful product.

Assembling this would have been so-o-o much easier if the instructions were written with more care. Several reassemblies finally got it built. The screws for the brackets were the wrong type and the pre-drills for them were useless. The gluing step(s) were not sufficiently described, and so reassembly to correct for this was required. The coasters for the bottom were shoddily manufactured — one split and another broke off. (Xmas eve assembly required that I limit my invective to stiffled profanity…)

Have I disheartened you? Well, if you have the patience of a saint and the mind of an engineer, this little item is certainly ideal for a flat-screen PC set-up, with room for the printer on the top shelf and space for books and supplies beneath. In short — the price is right.

My grandson is putting it to good use.

Well, what do you expect to get for 35 bucks? A grand desk with high-quality wood? This desk is cheap for a reason- because the quality is cheap. Putting this desk together, I managed to ding up the wood (it’s not even wood, it’s partical board) enough to ruin the finish, pop a dent into the top (since the boards are so thin) and can only manage to hold my laptop and a few folders without being off-set. I don’t know why I was fooled to thing this was a steal buy, because you pretty much are just buying the wood. It’d be easier and cheaper to just buy your own wood, cut it, and make the desk yourself, for a few bucks more, with higher quality wood.

It’s a desk. A cheap desk.

it takes some time and energy to assemble.

Not hard, but still not convenient.

It is good.

but smells not good, and the odor lasts long at least it is 1 month for now, but still has some odor.
